Old Saraighat Bridge to Reopen After Completion of Repair Works

 

Guwahati, September 14: The Old Saraighat Bridge in Guwahati is set to reopen for traffic on Tuesday, September 15, following the completion of repair works.

The reopening ceremony will be held at 12:30 pm at the Jalukbari end of the Old Saraighat Bridge. The General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway (GM/NFR) will be present at the site during the reopening.

The completion of the repair works and reopening of the bridge is expected to bring relief to commuters and motorists who have been affected by restrictions on the bridge. The occasion will also mark the restoration of normal connectivity across the Brahmaputra through the old bridge.
