Review Meeting Held to Strengthen Education Sector in Dima Hasao

 Haflong, June 2: With Chief Executive Member, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council Debolal Gorlosa in the chair, a high-level review meeting on the current status and challenges of the Education Department was held on Tuesday at the CEM's Conference Hall with the objective of assessing the overall educational scenario in Dima Hasao and identifying measures for further improvement.

The meeting was attended by MLA Rupali Langthasa, Chairman of the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council (DHAC) Mohet Hojai, Joint Secretaries of the Education Department, and Head Teachers from various schools across the district.

During the meeting, participants discussed the present condition of educational institutions, challenges affecting the sector, and strategies to enhance the quality of education. Special emphasis was laid on improving academic standards, strengthening school administration, ensuring better learning outcomes, and addressing issues faced by schools in remote areas.

The gathering also reviewed ongoing educational initiatives and stressed the importance of collective efforts by teachers, administrators, and policymakers to ensure quality education for all students in the district.

On the occasion, certificates and mementos were presented to recognize the district's remarkable achievement in securing 2nd position in Assam under the Tobacco Free Educational Institutions Programme (ToFEI) Programme 2025–26. The recognition highlights the district's commitment to creating a healthy and tobacco-free environment in educational institutions.
