N. F. Railway observed 135th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar

 Guwahati, 16th April, 2026:

The 135th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was observed on Thursday, 16th April, 2026 at Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Sabha Griha in N. F. Railway Headquarters complex. Shri Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, General Manager of N. F. Railway and other officials paid homage by lighting the lamp and offering floral tribute to the portrait of Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, well known as Father of the Indian Constitution. The officers, staff of N. F. Railway Headquarters and representatives of various Associations and Unions were also present on the occasion.

A parallel programme was organised by the NFR Construction Organisation at the Concourse Hall of the newly constructed General Manager (Construction) Office Building in Maligaon. The ceremony included floral tributes, readings on the life and contributions of Dr. Ambedkar and reflections on his lifelong commitment to social justice and equality. 

Speaking on this occasion, Shri Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, General Manager of N. F. Railway mentioned about Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s contribution towards framing of our Constitution, providing justice & equality to all classes of the society. He also praised the role of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar in women empowerment and development of under-privileged section of the society. His whole life is an inspiration for all classes of the society, the General Manager added.
