Upskill Painter Training at Gauhati University

 Guwahati, February 11:  A Training programme on painting “Upskill Painter Training’’ was organized by Gauhati University NSS Cell in association with GlobalHunt Foundation being sponsored by AkzoNobel, India, New Delhi at Assam Type Seminar Hall at Gauhati University Campus on 4^th & 5^th February, 2026. 

 

Inaugurating the training programme  Prof. Dhrubajyoti Saharia, Director, IQAC, Gauhati University appreciated the efforts of GU NSS Cell in conducting such creative training programme for benefit of the painters from adopted Village, Fringe villages of Gauhati University. Earlier welcoming the guest and participants Dr. Ranjan Kr. Kakati, Director, Students’ Welfare & Programme Coordinator, GU NSS Cell said that such training programme enhances the skill of the participants and gives them an edge in their learning curve. 

Dr. Kakati thanked all the people associated with the training camp for conducting the programme with a hope to overcome unemployment problem in the society.  Subrata Kumar Roy, Trainer from Kolkata Branch, AkzoNobel India trained the participants and shared valuable skills with the budding painters. About 60 painters were trained during the training programme.
