Centenary of the Rashtra Swayamsevak Sangh: An Unbroken Journey of Sangh Sadhana, a Century Moving Forward with a Sacred Resolve of Nation-Building
In the sacred moment of Vijayadashami in 1925, in the city of Nagpur, an organization began its journey—the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha (RSS). Today, after the passage of a full century, the organization is celebrating its centenary. Born out of the visionary thought of Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the Sangh has been able to leave a deep imprint on almost every sphere of Indian society, culture, and national life. Grounded in discipline, character building, patriotism, self-control, and social service, the Sangh has continued its journey uninterrupted.
Dr. Hedgewar was a freedom fighter and a true patriot. He believed that the true meaning of independence lay in the moral and cultural regeneration of the nation. With this objective, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh was founded in 1925. The core aim of the Sangh is nation-building—establishing social unity through character formation, discipline, and selfless service. Through its daily shakha activities, the Sangh has consistently sown the seeds of physical training, moral education, and patriotism.
Congratulatory Messages of the Rashtra Sevika Samiti on the Glorious Centenary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha:
SUSMITA DAS RAO
PRANTA TARUNI PRAMUKH, UTTAR ASSAM
RASHTRA SEVIKA SAMITI.
"The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has completed 100 years on the day of Vijayadashami, 2025." --
This sentence in itself represents a monumental reality because it is no ordinary matter for any organization to keep the same goal in sight for 100 years and continue to serve the Motherland with the same dedication and selflessness. And for this reason Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has been able to become the largest social organization in the world.
The soul of the organization is SHAKHA. Through the medium of the Shakha, the RSS aims to build the nation by VYAKTI NIRMAN (building the individual). Keeping this noble resolution at the forefront, the goal of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is to place our country, BHARAT, in a position of PARAM VAIBHAV.
Today, being able to witness this glorious moment of the organization's 100th anniversary, I consider myself blessed. Along with this, I extend my congratulations to every Swayamsevak and every member of their families. This is because, without the support of the families, no Swayamsevak would have been able to dedicate themselves to the work of the organization.

With hearts full of gratitude and pride, we bow in reverence to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on the historic completion of 100 glorious years of its selfless service to the nation.
For a century, the RSS has stood as a beacon of discipline, dedication, and devotion—nurturing generations with the timeless values of seva (selfless service), sanskar (character), and deshbhakti (patriotism). Through it’s unwavering commitment to building a strong, self-reliant, and culturally rooted Bharat , RSS has been instrumental in shaping the vision of a Hindu Rashtra—one that upholds dharma, inclusivity, and national pride.

The teachings of the Sangh have instilled in me a deep sense of devotion, strength, and responsibility towards my Matrubhumi. Each moment of service, discipline, and learning within this parampara reaffirms my belief in its timeless vision — a Bharat guided by moral integrity, compassion, and collective strength.
On this centenary milestone, I offer my heartfelt pranam to every Swayamsevaks and Sevikas who, with quiet determination and selfless spirit, tireless efforts and moral integrity have dedicated their lives to nation-building and undoubtedly have kept the flame of national consciousness burning bright.

MAHANAGAR SAHA TARUNI PRAMUKH
RASHTRA SEVIKA SAMHITI
As our nation celebrates the centenary year of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, I feel deeply honoured to be a small part of this esteemed organization as sevika. Since its founding in 1925, Dr. Hedgewar envisioned the Sangh as a movement rooted in daily discipline, unwavering dedication to the nation, patriotism, and pride in one’s motherland. The ideology of Hindutva strives to shape every individual into a responsible, value-driven citizen.
Over the years, sincere efforts have been made to unite a Hindu society that has long remained fragmented. Through continuous transformation, the organization aims to nurture a self-reliant and culturally grounded populace, free from social ills, and strengthened by character development, moral discipline, and collective responsibility. Through these efforts, the Sangh aspires to build a harmonious society and contribute to creating a strong and self-confident India - an India capable of earning respect on the global stage.
Witnessing the organisation reach its 100-year milestone is truly a blessing. I feel proud to contribute, in whatever small way I can, to this vast organization and its mission of nation-building, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve my country through it.
POONAM NATH
MEMBER OF GUWAHATI MAHANAGAR TARUNI TOLI
On the auspicious occasion of 100th year anniversary of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), My heart feels full with pure happiness. As the daughter of a swayamsevak, someone who has seen the values of the Sangh lived, practiced, and passed on within my own home.
From childhood, I heard stories of seva, discipline, samarpan, and love for the nation. I see my father waking up early for shakha, stepping out not for recognition but for responsibility. For me, they Sangh was never just an organization; it was a living lesson in how ordinary people can contribute to extraordinary change.
My father often said, “Sangh ka kaam shabd se nahi, achaaran se dikhta hai.”
And I truly, try to mentain the spirit as a Savika of Rashtra Sevika Samiti.
Whether during natural disasters, festivals, community programs, or times of national need, RSS swayamsevaks have shown what seva bhav truly means. As a daughter, I grew up learning that service is not occasional—it is a way of life.
Over the last 100 years, the Sangh has brought together people from different walks of life through a shared vision of nation-building. The idea that each individual has the power to uplift society is something every swayamsevak carries in his heart.
when I look back, I realize how much the Sangh has influenced the values I carry: discipline, respect, love for the nation, and responsibility toward society.
I feel grateful to have grown up in an environment where I witnessed not only ideals but daily practice—where I learned that true strength lies not in loud declarations, but in quiet, consistent action. As we move into a new century for the RSS, I believe we will continue to uphold these values with the same dedication. I hope the next generation—just like me—grows up watching seva in action, learning unity over division, and carrying forward a spirit of nation-first thinking.
On this proud moment of the RSS centenary, I offer my deepest respect to all swayamsevaks—past, present, and future. And to my father, and countless others like him, I say thank you for showing what it truly means to serve.
Bharat Mata ki Jai.
