GUICE initiates the launching session of the free APSC interview guidance programme


Guwahati, December 29, 2025: Gauhati University Initiative for Competitive Examinations (GUICE) formally launched the first session of its Free Interview Guidance Programme today, in presence of Professor Nani Gopal Mahanta, Vice Chancellor, Gauhati University, and Shri Bharat Bhushan Dev Choudhury, former Chairman, Assam Public Service Commission (APSC).

Addressing the gathering, Professor Nani Gopal Mahanta emphasized that such guidance programmes play a crucial role in enhancing the knowledge base as well as the overall personality of civil services aspirants. He further stated that Gauhati University is committed to providing all necessary resources to help candidates prepare effectively for the personality test, with the broader objective of nurturing responsible and capable civil servants.



During the briefing session, former APSC Chairman Shri Bharat Bhushan Dev Choudhury highlighted the importance of confidence building, appropriate body language, decency, and genuineness while responding to interview questions. He also shared valuable insights into various aspects that candidates must pay attention to while appearing for the actual personality test. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, during which candidates actively engaged with the panel.

Nearly 50 candidates have registered for the Free Interview Guidance Programme. The event was also attended by Dr. Sanjay Kumar Dutta, Deputy Director, Pre Examination Training Centre, GU, and Shri Vidyarthi Mahanta, Programme Coordinator, GUICE.
