Fifth Health and Wellness Camp Held in Kamrup Metro Under Seva Sankalp Abhiyan

Kamrup Metro, 10 October 2026: 

The fifth Health and Wellness Camp under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan was organised today at the Ramcharani Development Block Office premises in Kamrup Metropolitan district, with the objective of bringing accessible healthcare services closer to the people.

Shri Hemanta Choudhury, Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister, Assam visited the camp and inspected the various healthcare services being provided to the beneficiaries.

Specialist doctors provided services in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Medicine, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, ENT, Dentistry and AYUSH, among other specialities. The camp also facilitated screening for non-communicable diseases, TB and HIV. Awareness and counselling sessions were conducted on yoga, mental health, family planning, nutrition, healthy lifestyle practices and disease prevention.

In addition, services included registration and e-KYC for AB-PMJAY cards under Ayushman Bharat, birth and death registration, assistance related to Unique Disability ID (UDID) certificates, laboratory investigations and free distribution of medicines. Beneficiaries requiring further specialised care were also referred to appropriate healthcare facilities.

A total of 513 beneficiaries availed various healthcare services at today’s camp.
