District Health Mission Meeting Held in Kamrup Metro to Strengthen Health Services

Guwahati, 24 September 2026:

The District Health Mission meeting was held today under chairmanship of the District Commissioner, Shri Swapneel Paul, IAS, to review key health indicators and strengthen the delivery of healthcare services across the district.

The meeting accorded priority to prevention and control of nosocomial infections, immunization, communicable diseases including TB & HIV, maternal and child deaths, and disability-related services. Detailed discussions were held on the existing situation, challenges and measures required for further improvement in these areas.

Various other important health programmes and service-delivery issues were reviewed with emphasis on improving the quality, accessibility and effectiveness of healthcare services at all levels.

The District Commissioner directed the concerned health officials to ensure close monitoring, inter-departmental coordination and timely implementation of corrective measures, particularly in areas requiring focused attention.

The meeting was attended by the CEO, Zila Parishad, the District Development Commissioner, representatives of the MP and MLAs of Kamrup Metro and senior health officials and officials of NHM, Kamrup Metro.
