Publishers and Booksellers Guild, Northeast Delays Relief Material Distribution Due to School Closures

 

Guwahati, August 14: The Publishers and Booksellers Guild, Northeast, has informed donors of a brief delay in the distribution of relief materials donated to support affected students.

In an official communication, the Guild expressed gratitude to donors for their generous contributions towards the ongoing relief efforts. The organisation said the distribution of essential materials, including school bags, pencil boxes, pencils, notebooks, water bottles and sandals, has been temporarily delayed as schools remain closed due to severe conditions.

The Guild stated that the relief materials will be distributed once schools reopen and students are available. It further said that its team is actively coordinating with local authorities to expedite the process and expects the materials to reach the distribution centres soon.

The organisation assured donors that their contributions remain safe and are vital to its relief mission. A final confirmation update will be issued once the distribution is completed.

The communication was issued by Dhiraj Goswami, Secretary of the Publishers and Booksellers Guild, Northeast, who also thanked donors for their patience, understanding and continued support.
