CEM Debolal Gorlosa Attends Bhanubhakta Acharya Jayanti Celebration in Haflong

 Haflong, July 13: The 212th birth anniversary of Adikavi Bhanubhakta Acharya was observed with due solemnity at the District Library Auditorium Hall here on Monday. The programme was organised by the All Assam Gorkha Students' Union (AAGSU), Dima Hasao District Committee.

Chief Executive Member of the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council,  Debolal Gorlosa, attended the function as the chief guest and paid rich tributes to Adikavi Bhanubhakta Acharya, recalling his immense contribution to Nepali literature. 

He said the literary legacy of the revered poet continues to inspire generations and remains a guiding force in preserving the rich cultural and linguistic heritage of the Nepali-speaking community.

The CEM also appreciated the efforts of the organisers in commemorating the birth anniversary of the eminent literary figure and promoting cultural harmony in the district.

Among those present were BJP Dima Hasao District President and Member of the Autonomous Council (MAC)  Dhriti Thaosen, Executive Members  Donpainon Thaosen and Smt. Probita Johori, nominated MAC Krishna Joishi, office-bearers of AAGSU, and a large number of students, community leaders and members of the Gorkha community.
