Passenger Convenience Enhanced with Extended and New Summer Special Services

                           

Guwahati, 26th May, 2026:

 To clear the additional rush of passengers during the summer rush, services of train no. 07046/07047 (Secunderabad - Naharlagun - Secunderabad) has been extended for additional five trips in both directions. Train No. 07046 (Secunderabad - Naharlagun) weekly special has been extended to run from 29th of May, 2026 till 26th of June, 2026. While in return direction, train no. 07047 (Naharlagun - Secunderabad) weekly special has been extended to run from 01st of June, 2026 till 29th of June, 2026. The trains will operate with the existing schedule of service, timings, composition and stoppages. 

Additionally, it has been decided to run a Summer Special train from Katihar to Bhagalpur. The train will operate on daily basis from 27th of May to 01st of June, 2026 in both the directions. Train no. 03407 (Bhagalpur - Katihar) Special will depart from Bhagalpur at 07:00 hours to reach Katihar at 13:00 hours on the same day. In return direction, train no. 03408 (Katihar - Bhagalpur) Special will depart from Katihar at 14:10 hours to reach Bhagalpur at 20:20 hours on the same day. The train will operate as an unreserved special train with a composition of 13 general coaches.

The extension of the Secunderabad – Naharlagun – Secunderabad Special and the introduction of the Katihar – Bhagalpur Summer Special will provide substantial relief to passengers during the peak summer travel season. The additional trips between Secunderabad and Naharlagun will help cater to the increased passenger demand, reduce waiting lists and improve the availability of confirmed accommodation on this important route connecting the northeastern region with southern India. The extended services will also offer greater travel flexibility and convenience to passengers travelling to and from Arunachal Pradesh and other northeastern states. Similarly, the daily Katihar–Bhagalpur Summer Special will provide an additional travel option for passengers commuting between the two cities and intermediate stations. 

Overall, these special train services will improve connectivity, facilitate smoother passenger movement and ensure a more comfortable travel experience during the summer rush period. The details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available at IRCTC website and social media platforms of N. F. Railway. Passengers are requested to verify the details before undertaking their journey.
