6th Scientific Advisory Committee Meeting of KVK Dima Hasao Held

Haflong, March 6: The 6th Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Dima Hasao was held at the KSN Conference Hall in Haflong to review ongoing activities and plan strategies for the development of agriculture and allied sectors in the district.

Chief Scientist Dr. K. Dayamoy Singha of Assam Agricultural University ZRS Diphu attended as Chief Guest, while Dr. Manoj Chauhan was the Guest of Honour. They stressed strengthening extension services and promoting scientific farming to increase farmers’ income.

Senior Scientist and Head of KVK Dima Hasao Dr. Ardhendu Chakraborty presented the Annual Progress Report for 2025–26 and the Action Plan for 2026–27.

Officials from NABARD, Agriculture, Veterinary, Fishery and other departments, along with farmers and FPO representatives, participated and shared suggestions for improving agriculture and livelihood opportunities in the district.

A total of 36 district-level functionaries attended the meeting, where issues related to crop production, horticulture, livestock and fisheries were discussed.
