Review meeting on 4-Lane East–West Corridor (NH-27) stretching from Jatinga to Harangajao held at Haflong

 
Haflong December 11 : On 11th December at Haflong, a review meeting was jointly chaired by Kaushik Rai, Minister for Food, Public Distribution & Consumer Affairs, Mines & Minerals, Government of Assam; Nandita Gorlosa, Minister for Sports & Youth Welfare, Government of Assam; and Debolal Gorlosa, Chief Executive Member of NCHAC, at the Circuit House. 

The meeting focused on assessing the progress of the 4-Lane East–West Corridor (NH-27) stretching from Jatinga to Harangajao, as well as the Lumding–Badarpur Railway Line.

The discussions covered the status of ongoing work, inter-departmental coordination, and challenges impacting timely completion. The Ministers and CEM emphasized the need for prompt and coordinated efforts by the concerned departments to resolve pending issues and ensure the projects are completed on schedule. Officials from NHAI presented a detailed progress chart showing chainage-wise status and the anticipated timeline for the 4-Lane East–West Corridor.

Also present were Donpainon Thaosen and Lalremsiama Darnei, Executive Members of NCHAC; Principal Secretary of NCHAC, Partha Johari; District Commissioner of Dima Hasao, Munindra Nath Naghtey ACS; Senior Superintendent of Police, Dima Hasao; Project Director, NHAI; Divisional Railway Manager, Lumding Division, N.F. Railways; Additional District Commissioners; and officials from PWD (R&B) and other line departments.
