Lt. Zubeen Garg Death Case: Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and Amrit Prabha Mahanta Transferred to Haflong Sub-Jail.


 
Haflong October 18: In a significant move in the investigation into the death of renowned Assamese singer Lt. Zubeen Garg, authorities have ordered the transfer of Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and Amrita Prabha Mahanta to the Haflong Sub-Jail in Dima Hasao district, Assam.

The two individuals, currently in police custody,  moved to the Haflong Sub-Jail for further judicial proceedings as per a recent court directive. Unprecedented security arrangements were witnessed at several places of Haflong with barricades.The ongoing investigation continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the singer’s untimely death.


 Authorities have declined to provide details on the specific charges, citing the sensitive nature of the ongoing probe.The case has drawn widespread attention across Assam and the Northeast, with fans and cultural organizations calling for a transparent and thorough investigation into the beloved artist’s death. Further updates are awaited as the investigation progresses. t is learnt that the Haflong Sub-Jail is having already 69 accused prisoners against the all together 68 capacity.
