As part of the visit, the General Manager conducted a
window trailing inspection from New Bongaigaon to Alipurduar Junction. He
closely examined the condition of railway tracks, bridges, overhead electrical
installations and other railway assets along the section to assess their upkeep
and identify maintenance requirements.
At Alipurduar Junction, the General Manager visited
the station yard, Carriage and Wagon Depot and Multidisciplinary Zonal Training
School. He inaugurated a newly constructed pit line, a Bio-Toilet Laboratory

to modernising infrastructure and investing in its workforce to deliver safer,
more efficient and passenger focused railway services.
