Free Dialysis Centre Inaugurated at Pandu FRU

Guwahati, 23 September 2026:

The newly established Free Dialysis Centre under Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Program (PMNDP) at Pandu FRU, Kamrup Metro, was inaugurated today by Smt. Bijuli Kalita Medhi, the Member of Parliament, Guwahati Lok Sabha Constituency.

With three dialysis machines, the centre will provide free dialysis services to patients requiring renal therapy. The facility will improve access to essential dialysis care for patients from Pandu and adjoining areas, enabling them to receive free dialysis treatment closer to their place of residence.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by Shri Hemanta Choudhury, the OSD to the Chief Minister, Assam, Shri Monjit Borkakoti, the DDC, Kamrup Metro, Shri Pallab Jyoti Nath, the OSD, NHM Assam, Shri Sanjay Das, Chairman, Hospital Management Committee, Pandu FRU, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Saikia, Jt. DHS, Kamrup Metro and Dr. Kumud Deka, Deputy Superintendent, Pandu FRU, along with Councillors, officials of the DPMU and West Zone BPMU, doctors and healthcare staff, ASHAs & the public.
