TB and HIV Screening Among Inmates Monitored at Guwahati Central Jail; Advocacy Meeting Held with Prison Authorities

 

Guwahati, 07th August: The TB and HIV screening programme among the inmates of Guwahati Central Jail in Kamrup Metro district was closely monitored to assess the progress and effectiveness of the ongoing health initiative. 

During the visit, an advocacy meeting was also held with the prison authorities to discuss strengthening disease prevention, early detection, timely treatment, and overall healthcare services for inmates. The interaction emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in ensuring a healthy prison environment and improving access to essential medical services.
