Sea of Tricolour Marks Har Ghar Tiranga Rally in Haflong
Haflong, August 11: A sea of Tricolour was witnessed in Haflong on Tuesday as around 400 people participated in a grand Har Ghar Tiranga rally, organised as part of the Independence Day celebrations in Dima Hasao.
The rally was attended by Dima Hasao Autonomous Council (DHAC) Chief Executive Member Debolal Gorlosa, Haflong MLA Rupali Langthasa, Executive Council Members, Members of the Autonomous Council (MACs) and officials of the Council and district administration.
Dima Hasao District Commissioner Gayatri Devidas Hyalinge, IAS, and Senior Superintendent of Police Ripunjoy Kakoty, APS, were also present during the rally.
The district, along with the rest of the country, has been observing the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign since August 9, with a series of programmes lined up ahead of Independence Day.
The rally, held from the Veer Sambudhan Statue to the Council Rotary, saw enthusiastic participation from people from different walks of life. Participants marched with the National Tricolour, creating a vibrant display of patriotism across the hill town.
The rally concluded with patriotic slogans and the singing of Vande Mataram, setting a festive and patriotic atmosphere in Haflong ahead of Independence Day on August 15.
