NFR Revises Train Services as Restoration Work Continues in Hill Section

 Guwahati, 28^th August, 2026:

 

Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) continues restoration work near New Harangajao station following the settlement of railway tracks (Line-1 and Line-2). Train operations over the Lumding–Badarpur Hill Section are being maintained through Line-3 with enhanced safety measures in place. In view of the ongoing restoration work, NFR has announced the following additional changes in train services:

 

Cancellation of Trains:

 

·       Train No. 15615 (Guwahati-Silchar) Express commencing journey on 29.08.2026 has been cancelled.

·       Train No. 15616 (Silchar-Guwahati) Express commencing journey on 30.08.2026 has been cancelled.

·       Train No. 15617 (Guwahati-Dullabcherra) Express commencing journey on 29.08.2026 has been cancelled.

·       Train No. 15618 (Dullabcherra-Guwahati) Express commencing journey on 30.08.2026 has been cancelled.

 

Rescheduling of Trains:

 

·       Train No. 15650 (Narangi-Agartala) Express commencing journey on 29.08.2026 has been rescheduled to depart from Narangi at 18:30 hrs.

 

·       Train No. 15641 (Silchar-New Tinsukia) Express, commencing its journey on 29.08.2026, has been rescheduled to depart from Silchar at 22:10 hrs.
