NFR Revises Train Services as Restoration Work Continues in Hill Section

 Guwahati, 29^th August, 2026:

Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) continues restoration work near New Harangajao station following the settlement of railway tracks (Line-1 and Line-2). Train operations over the Lumding–Badarpur Hill Section are being maintained through Line-3 with enhanced safety measures in place. In view of the ongoing restoration work, NFR has announced the following additional changes in train services:

 

Cancellation of Trains:

·       Train No. 15615 (Guwahati-Silchar) Express commencing journeys on 30.08.2026 & 31.08.2026 has been cancelled.

·       Train No. 15616 (Silchar-Guwahati) Express commencing journeys on 31.08.2026 & 01.09.2026 has been cancelled.

·       Train No. 15617 (Guwahati-Dullabcherra) Express commencing journey on 31.08.2026 has been cancelled.

·       Train No. 15618 (Dullabcherra-Guwahati) Express commencing journey on 01.09.2026 has been cancelled.

 

Rescheduling of Trains:

·       Train No. 15650 (Narangi - Agartala) Express commencing journeys on 30.08.2026 & 31.08.2026 has been rescheduled to depart from Narangi at 18:30 hrs.

 

·       Train No. 01666 (Agartala - Rani Kamalapati) Special, commencing its journey on 30.08.2026, has been rescheduled to depart from Agartala at 19:20 hrs.

 

·       Train No. 20501 (Agartala- Anand Vihar Terminal) Tejas Express, commencing its journey on 31.08.2026, has been rescheduled to depart from Agartala at 19:00 hrs.

 

·       Train No. 14037 (Silchar- New Delhi) Poorvottar Sampark Kranti Express, commencing its journey on 31.08.2026, has been rescheduled to depart from Silchar at 22:10 hrs.

 

Regulation of Train:

·       Train No. 12501 (Kolkata - Agartala) Express, commencing its journey on 30.08.2026, will be regulated enroute suitably.
