NFR Introduces GoLukBuk Digital Travel Assistance Kiosks at Guwahati Railway Station
Guwahati, 04th August, 2026:
In a significant step towards enhancing passenger convenience through digital innovation, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) inaugurated Digital Travel Assistance Kiosk Network at Guwahati Railway Station. The initiative, branded as GoLukBuk, marks the first-of-its-kind project in NFR and has been introduced under the New Innovative Non-Fare Revenue Ideas Scheme (NINFRIS).
The Digital Travel Assistance Kiosk
Network was inaugurated by Shri Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, General Manager,
Northeast Frontier Railway, in the gracious presence of Shri Niraj Sahay,
Principal Chief Commercial Manager, Northeast Frontier Railway and other Senior
officials.
As part of this initiative, strategically located digital kiosks have been installed at Guwahati Railway Station, with additional kiosks also planned at Kamakhya Railway Station, ensuring easy accessibility for passengers seeking travel assistance and digital booking services
GoLukBuk is an integrated digital
platform that enables passengers to conveniently compare and book a wide range
of travel-related services through interactive kiosks. These include hotel
accommodation, cab and car rental services, food and beverage delivery, sleeping
pod bookings, meeting pod reservations and other travel assistance services
from a single digital interface. The platform is designed to offer passengers a
seamless, quick and user-friendly booking experience while reducing the need to
access multiple applications or service providers.
The kiosks also feature high-resolution digital display screens and LED hologram fan technology, creating a modern Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) advertising platform that offers businesses an opportunity to connect with thousands of railway passengers every day. Additional services, including Quick Commerce, are planned to be integrated in the near future to further expand the range of passenger amenities.
The project has been implemented under the NINFRIS scheme with an initial licence period of one year, extendable based on satisfactory performance. It also contributes to generating sustainable non-fare revenue while improving the overall passenger experience through technology-driven services.
The launch of GoLukBuk reflects
Northeast Frontier Railway's commitment to enhancing passenger services through
digital innovation. By offering a seamless and integrated travel assistance
platform, the initiative aims to improve passenger convenience and set a
benchmark for the adoption of similar technology-driven services at railway
stations across the country.
