N.F. Railway Launches Three-Month Vigilance Awareness Campaign
Guwahati, 20th August, 2026:
Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has launched
a three-month campaign on vigilance awareness, being conducted from 17th
of August to 18th of November, 2026, as a prelude to Vigilance
Awareness Week. The campaign aims to promote integrity, transparency and
ethical conduct among railway officials and employees, while creating greater
awareness about the importance of maintaining vigilance in public service.
As part of the campaign, Shri Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, General Manager,
N. F. Railway, administered the Integrity Pledge at the N. F. Railway
Headquarters complex, while Shri Ashish
Bansal, General Manager of N. F. Railway
(Construction), led the pledge at the office premises of GM (CON), Maligaon on
20th of August, 2026. Divisional Railway Managers across all
divisions, along with officers and staff of the entire N. F. Railway family,
also participated in taking the Integrity Pledge. The
motto of this pledge is to bring about
integrity and transparency in all spheres of activities thus eradicating
corruption in every aspect of life including the working environment. The theme
that will lead the Vigilance Awareness Week of 2026 will be based on “Probity for Prosperity.”
As part of the awareness initiative, a Walkathon/Vigilance
Awareness March was also flagged off from the N. F. Railway Headquarters complex where railway
officials, along with Scouts & Guides of N. F. Railway participated in the
march. The campaign aims to strengthen a culture of
integrity, transparency, vigilance and accountability at all levels of railway
functioning, while encouraging all stakeholders to contribute towards a
transparent and corruption-free working environment.
