District Commissioner convened a meeting to organize awareness programme in Dima Hasao district

 Haflong: June 15: District Commissioner Smt. Gayatri Devidas Hyalinge, IAS convened a meeting at the DC Office Conference Hall in Haflong, today, to organize a District Level Awareness Programme celebrating the completion of 12 years of transformative governance under the central government, led by Prime Minister  Narendra Modi.

The meeting was chaired by District Commissioner Smt. Gayatri Devidas Hyalinge, IAS, and attended by Dima Hasao Autonomous Council (DHAC) Joint Secretary Smt. Rebecca Changsan,ACS mapped out extensive grassroots strategies designed to synchronize localized awareness campaigns with ongoing developmental activities and various welfare schemes across the district.

The meeting was also attended by Heads of Departments (HoDs) of all key line departments alongside other senior district officials.

In the meeting the District Commissioner directed all major line departments to actively collaborate and prepare comprehensive data on the district's developmental progress. The upcoming awareness initiative will focus heavily on accelerating information delivery and maximizing public enrollment for various central programs and schemes including NSAP, PM Kishan, PM Vishwakarma Scheme, Nijut moina and other schemes.

The District Commissioner Smt. Hyalinge emphasized that officials must proactively invite and inform target groups so they can attend the camps, understand their entitlements, and directly secure the fruits of various government schemes.

The designated venues will feature localized information desks, public welfare camps, and community engagement initiatives to transform the 12-year governance milestone into a highly interactive, citizen-centric mass event.

The awareness campaign will be held for three days, starting from June 17th, 2026, across five developmental blocks in the district. The administration has finalized the venues for each block as Diyung Valley Development Block: Maibang Block Office; Jatinga Valley Development Block: Mahur Block Office; New Sangbar Block : Dihangi Bazar community hall; Harangajao ITD Block: Harangajao Block Office and Diyungbra ITD Block: CDC Office, Hamri.
