Haflong, June 25: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Dima Hasao District Committee organised an Intellectual Meet on Thursday at the Cultural Institute Hall, Haflong, to highlight the achievements of the Narendra Modi-led government over the past 12 years.
The event, themed “12 Years of Service, Good Governance, Development and Public Welfare,” began with the inauguration of a special exhibition showcasing various developmental initiatives and welfare programmes implemented during the Modi government’s tenure. Haflong MLA Rupali Langthasa formally inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council (DHAC) Chairman Mohet Hojai.
Addressing the gathering as the keynote speaker, Professor Dinesh Tiwari spoke in detail about the significant progress made in infrastructure, economic growth, welfare schemes, and governance reforms under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He described Modi as a “Mahaguru” and lauded his visionary leadership for the nation.
MLA Rupali Langthasa and DHAC Chairman Mohet Hojai also addressed the gathering and praised the Modi government’s achievements over the last 12 years.
The programme saw active participation from BJP leaders, intellectuals, social workers, and members of the public, who engaged in insightful discussions on governance, development, and public welfare initiatives undertaken by the BJP-led government.
The Intellectual Meet aimed to create awareness about the various developmental works and people-centric schemes implemented across the country during the past 12 years.
