Association of Retired NFR Sportspersons to host Under-17 Inter Academy Invitation Football Tournament

 

Guwahati, 23rd June, 2026: The Association of Retired N.F. Railway Sportspersons will organise an Inter Academy Invitation Football Tournament for Boys Under-17 at Pandu Railway Football Stadium on 26th & 27th June, 2026, with the consent of NFRSA. The tournament is being organised with the objective of encouraging young sporting talent and promoting football among the youth by providing them with a competitive platform.

A total of 08 nos teams will participate in the tournament. As per the programme, the event will commence on 26th June, 2026 with the opening ceremony at 7:00 AM, followed by the quarterfinal matches at 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM, 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM. On 27th June, 2026, the semifinal matches will be played at 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM, followed by the final match at 3:30 PM. The tournament will conclude with the closing ceremony at 5:30 PM on the same day.

The tournament is expected to promote sporting activities among young footballers and help nurture emerging talent by providing them exposure to competitive football at an early stage.
