Fire Breaks Out in Maibang, Several Shops and Houses Destroyed

Haflong, April 15: A major fire broke out in the early hours of Wednesday in the Maibang area, causing extensive damage to multiple properties. According to initial reports, the blaze completely gutted a wine shop, bakery, electrical shop, utensil (basan) shop, cloth shop, along with several residential houses.

The exact cause of the fire remains unknown at the time of reporting. Fire service personnel rushed to the spot soon after the incident and are continuously engaged in efforts to control and extinguish the flames.

Following the fire incident at Maibang Bazar, several shops, houses, and establishments have reportedly suffered significant damage.
