Dima Hasao Shines in HSSLC 2026: Arts Stream Tops with 88.22% Pass Rate
Haflong, April 28: Dima Hasao district has delivered an impressive showing in the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Examination 2026 results, with the Arts stream leading the charge at a stellar 88.22% pass percentage.
Overall, the district's performance underscores strong academic resilience across streams. In Arts, where 2,045 students appeared, 1,804 passed—broken down into 464 securing first division, 875 second division, and 465 third division. Science followed closely with 80.94% passing out of 320 candidates, including 75 first division, 165 second, and 19 third, for a total of 259 passers. Commerce rounded out the streams at 82.29%, with 79 out of 96 students succeeding (16 first, 42 second, and 21 third division).
The Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council (DHAC) has extended heartfelt congratulations to all students who successfully passed the Higher Secondary Final Examinations, the results of which were declared today.
In his message, the CEM praised the students for their dedication, perseverance, and hard work, noting that their success is also a reflection of the unwavering support provided by parents and teachers. He encouraged the students to move forward with confidence and determination as they step into a new phase of life, urging them to pursue their dreams and contribute meaningfully to society.
The CEM also conveyed special appreciation to Dehangi Higher Secondary School from his constituency for achieving an outstanding 100 percent pass rate in the examination. Notably, this was the first batch of the school to appear for the Higher Secondary examination, with all 13 students successfully clearing the exams. Among them, five students secured first division, while eight students passed with second division.
Describing the achievement as a proud moment for the district, the CEM expressed hope that the students would continue to bring recognition and honor to Dima Hasao and Assam in the years to come.
He concluded by wishing all successful candidates the very best for their future endeavors and the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
