Haflong gets modern Trauma Centre at Civil Hospital
Haflong, March 14: In a significant boost to healthcare services in Dima Hasao district, a much-needed three-bedded modern Trauma Centre was inaugurated at Haflong Civil Hospital on Saturday.
The centre was ceremonially inaugurated by North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) Executive Member in-charge of Medical, Samuel Changsan, in the presence of EM Donpainon Thaosen, doctors and medical staff of the hospital.

He added that the centre has been equipped with modern machinery similar to those available in private hospitals, enabling doctors to respond quickly to critical cases.
Following the inauguration, a distribution programme of smartphones to ASHA workers was also held at Haflong Civil Hospital, where 35 ASHA workers received smartphones to support their healthcare activities.
Earlier in the day, EM Changsan also inaugurated the newly completed building of the District Drugs Control Office at Haflong.
