Assam Cricket Academy concludes 15-day coaching camp at Umrangso
Haflong, January 31: The Assam Cricket Academy, under the aegis of the Assam Cricket Association, successfully concluded its 15-day Cricket Coaching Camp at Umrangso, held from January 17 to January 31.
The camp aimed at nurturing young cricketing talent from the region and providing them with professional training, discipline, and exposure. Head Coach Tariqur Rahman, Coach Baburam Magar, and CEO of Assam Cricket Academy Nabojyoti Sharma graced the inaugural sessions and closely supervised the training programme.
During the camp, trainees were given intensive coaching in batting, bowling, fielding, fitness, and match awareness. Special emphasis was placed on building technical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship, along with overall personality development.
The closing ceremony was attended by Sports Psychologist Tribenee Bhattacharjee and Coach Pratib Dutta, who interacted with the trainees and encouraged them to stay focused, disciplined, and mentally strong in their sporting journey. Bhattacharjee highlighted the importance of mental fitness and confidence in achieving success in competitive sports.
Local sports enthusiasts and parents appreciated the initiative, stating that such camps play a crucial role in promoting cricket in remote and hill areas.
