Vigilance Awareness Week Begins Across Northeast Frontier Railway

Guwahati, 27th October, 2025: The observance of Vigilance Awareness Week commenced across Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) today, with enthusiastic participation from officers and staff across all divisions. Shri Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, General Manager, N. F. Railway, administered the Integrity Pledge at the N. F. Railway Headquarters complex in Maligaon. Simultaneously, Shri Anjani Kumar, Chief Administrative Officer of N. F. Railway (Construction), led the pledge ceremony at the office premises of GM (CON), Maligaon. Divisional Railway Managers, along with officers and employees from various departments, also took the pledge, reaffirming their commitment to honesty and transparency in their professional and personal conduct, as mentioned in an official statement given by Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer.

A street play (Nukkad Natak) was organized at both venues to actively engage employees and the public in promoting ethical values, accountability, and a collective sense of responsibility towards a corruption-free society. The play effectively highlighted the importance of vigilance and moral integrity in everyday work culture.

The central motto of this initiative is to foster integrity and transparency in all spheres of activity, thereby eradicating corruption from every aspect of life, including the working environment. The theme for this year’s Vigilance Awareness Week, “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility,” emphasizes that ensuring transparency and ethical governance is a duty shared by all.

The week-long observance will continue with various awareness programme, seminars, and outreach activities across NFR’s divisions and units, culminating on 2nd November 2025.
