NFR Revises Timings of 18 Trains to Enhance Punctuality and Passenger Convenience

 

Guwahati, 29th October: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has revised the timings of eighteen (18) trains at selected stations across its network to enhance passenger convenience and ensure improved punctuality. The revised schedules are being implemented in phases from 25th October to 1st November, 2025, as stated in an official release by Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer, NFR.

Effective from 25th October, 2025: Train No. 15719/15720 (Katihar – Siliguri – Katihar) Intercity Express at Katihar and Siliguri stations; 22301 (Howrah – New Jalpaiguri) Vande Bharat Express at New Jalpaiguri; 12363 (Kolkata – Haldibari) Superfast Express at Haldibari and Harishchandrapur; 15464 (Siliguri – Balurghat) Intercity Express from Balurghat to Siliguri; 13246 (Ara – New Jalpaiguri) Capital Express at New Jalpaiguri; and 15723 (Jogbani – Siliguri) Express at Siliguri Town.

Effective from 27th October, 2025: 13141 (Sealdah – New Alipurduar) Teesta Torsa Express at New Alipurduar, New Cooch Behar, Ghoksadanga, Falakata, Dhubguri, New Maynaguri, Jalpaiguri Road and Belakoba.

Effective from 28th October, 2025: 13248 (Ara – Kamakhya) Capital Express and 15077 (Kamakhya – Gomti Nagar) Express at Kamakhya, Goalpara Town and New Bongaigaon.

Effective from 29th October, 2025: 15661 (Ranchi – Kamakhya) Express at Kamakhya.

Effective from 30th October, 2025: 13142 (New Alipurduar – Sealdah) Teesta Torsa Express from Samsi to New Alipurduar; 22302 (New Jalpaiguri – Howrah) Vande Bharat Express at New Jalpaiguri and Kishanganj; 22233 (New Jalpaiguri – Patna) Vande Bharat Express at New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj and Barsoi; 22234 (Patna – New Jalpaiguri) Vande Bharat Express at New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Barsoi and Katihar; and 15644 (Kamakhya – Puri) Express from Kamakhya to Harishchandrapur.

Effective from 31st October, 2025: 12364 (Haldibari – Kolkata) Superfast Express at Haldibari, Jalpaiguri, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj and Harishchandrapur.

Effective from 1st November, 2025: 13245 (New Jalpaiguri – Ara) Capital Express at New Jalpaiguri.

With continuous infrastructure upgrades, NFR has enhanced train speeds and operational efficiency, ensuring a faster, safer, and more punctual travel experience for passengers. Travellers are advised to check real-time schedules and running status on the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) before commencing their journey.
