BRO Observes Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 with Integrity Pledge Ceremony

 
Guwahati, 29 October 2025: As part of the nationwide observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), Eastern Sector, joined the rest of the country in reaffirming its commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability in public service. The Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed across India from 27th October to 2nd November 2025, with the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”

On 28th October 2025, a solemn Integrity Pledge ceremony was organized at the Headquarters of the Eastern Sector, BRO. The event was led by Shri Jitendra Prasad, VSM, Additional Director General, Border Roads Organisation (BRO), Eastern Sector, who administered the Integrity Pledge to all ranks of the headquarters. Officers, subordinate staff, and other personnel actively participated in the ceremony, collectively reaffirming their dedication to upholding the highest ethical standards in their professional duties.

During the occasion, Shri Jitendra Prasad, VSM, emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in building a corruption-free organization and nation. He stated that the pledge-taking ceremony is not just a formality but a significant reaffirmation of BRO’s long-standing values of honesty, fairness, and commitment to public service. He further underlined that vigilance and transparency form the foundation of good governance, and every member of the BRO must act as a sentinel against corruption by promoting ethical behavior and accountability at all levels.

He reiterated BRO’s unwavering dedication to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and transparency in all its operations, ensuring that the organization continues to contribute effectively to national infrastructure and strategic development with a strong moral framework.
