Haflong Sept 17: On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, DHAC Chairman Mohet Hojai inaugurated a new blood donation room at Haflong Civil Hospital. The event also marked the virtual launch of the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan (SNSPA) and Sewa Saptah, aimed at promoting women’s health, family well-being, and community service.
The SNSPA seeks to empower women as catalysts for change by enhancing their health, nutrition, and overall well-being, fostering stronger families and communities. Concurrently, Sewa Saptah encourages citizens to contribute voluntarily to nation-building through initiatives in health, education, and social welfare.
Following the launch, a Mega Voluntary Blood Donation Drive was initiated as part of Sewa Saptah, embodying the spirit of selfless service to humanity.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Donpainon Thaosen, EM DHAC; Munindra Nath Ngatey (ACS), District Commissioner, Dima Hasao; Partha Johori (ACS), Principal Secretary i/c DHAC; the Superintendent of Haflong Civil Hospital, and other notable dignitaries.
