With a focus on improving passenger convenience and providing a seamless travel experience, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has introduced additional special trains and extended existing services across key routes to efficiently cater to the extra rush of passengers during the ongoing travel season.
As part of these efforts, Train No. 05754/05753 (New Jalpaiguri - Malda Town -New Jalpaiguri) Special has been introduced to enhance passenger convenience. Train No. 05754 (New Jalpaiguri - Malda Town) and Train No. 05753 (Malda Town–New Jalpaiguri) will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays and Mondays from 10th April to 30th April 2026, completing 15 trips in each direction. The train will run via stations including Aluabari Road, Kishanganj, Dalkhola, Barsoi, Kumedpur, Harischandrapur, Samsi, Eklakhi and Old Malda and will be operated with 22 coaches, ensuring a comfortable and efficient travel experience for passengers.
Further enhancing long distance connectivity, special Train No. 04127 (Kanpur Central–Guwahati Special) will run every Thursday from 09th April to 14th May 2026, completing six trips. In the return direction, Train No. 04128 (Guwahati–Kanpur Central) special will operate every Friday from 10th April to 15th May 2026, also completing six trips. The train will run via major stations including Prayagraj, Varanasi, Barauni, Katihar, New Jalpaiguri, New Alipurduar, New Bongaigaon, Rangiya and Kamakhya etc. The service will be operated with 16 coaches. Additionally, special Train No. 07046 (Secunderabad–Naharlagun) will run weekly from 10th April to 22nd May 2026, departing from Secunderabad on Fridays. In the return direction, special train No. 07047 (Naharlagun - Secunderabad) will operate weekly from 13th April to 25th May 2026, departing from Naharlagun on Mondays. Both services will complete seven trips each and the train will be composed of 22 coaches.
In addition, NFR has introduced special train services to further facilitate passenger movement across the region. Train No. 05698/05697 (Guwahati–Jalpaiguri Road - Guwahati) Special will run bi-weekly with seven trips in each direction. Train No. 05698 (Guwahati–Jalpaiguri Road) will operate on Thursdays and Sundays from 09th April to 30th April 2026. In the return direction, Train No. 05697 (Jalpaiguri Road - Guwahati) will run on Fridays and Mondays from 10th April to 01st May 2026.
Another special service, Train No. 05756/05755 (New Jalpaiguri – Balurghat - New Jalpaiguri) will operate weekly with three trips in each direction. Train No. 05756 (New Jalpaiguri – Balurghat) will run on Saturdays i.e., 11th, 18th and 25th April 2026. In the return direction, Train No. 05755 (Balurghat - New Jalpaiguri) will run on Sundays i.e., 12th, 19th and 26th April 2026. This train will be operated with modern 22 coaches, providing enhanced passenger comfort and safety.
Further strengthening passenger services, the services of Train No. 04654/04653 (Amritsar–New Jalpaiguri–Amritsar) have been extended. Train No. 04654 (Amritsar–New Jalpaiguri) is running from 08th April to 29th April 2026 for four additional trips. Similarly, Train No. 04653 (New Jalpaiguri–Amritsar) will run from 10th April to 01st May 2026 for four additional trips. The composition, timings and stoppages of the trains will remain unchanged.
NFR continues to enhance services and connectivity. The details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available at IRCTC website and social media platforms of N. F. Railway. Passengers are requested to verify the details before undertaking their journey.
