In a major safety initiative, 3416 Aerosol-based fire suppression systems have been installed in electrical panels across coaches, while manual Fire Detection and Suppression Systems in all pantry and power cars have been successfully upgraded to automatic systems, significantly improving onboard safety standards. Marking a historic achievement, the first-ever POH of a Tower Car was successfully completed at New Bongaigaon Workshop in November 2025. Further strengthening maintenance capabilities, the Mid-Life Rehabilitation (MLR) of LHB coaches has commenced at New Bongaigaon Workshop, with the first upgraded coach expected to roll out by April 2026. Passenger amenities were also enhanced through the refurbishment of 49 Rajdhani Express coaches, while all seven rakes of Avadh Assam Express were renovated at Dibrugarh Workshop to improve hygiene and comfort standards.
