Guwahati, 4 February, 2026 : The Revenue Circle Level Emergency Management Exercise ( RCEMAx) of Guwahati Revenue Circle was held from 2nd to 4th February, 2026 at Pandu College. The programme was organised by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Kamrup (Metro) in collaboration with Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) and all stakeholders of disaster management of Kamrup (Metro) District took part.
This three day event was inaugurated by Dr. Sanchay Jyoti Bora, Principal, Pandu College in the presence of Dr. Shantanu Roy Chowdhury, Associate Professor & Programme Officer, National Service Scheme (NSS), Pandu College, Sri Kaustubh Talukdar, District Project Officer, DDMA, Kamrup (Metro), Sri Dipak Medhi, Asstt. Deputy Controller, Civil Defence, Kamrup (Metro), Sri Pulin Chandra Roy, Station Officer, Pandu Fire & Emergency Services, Sri Simanta Sonowal, Field Officer, DDMA, Guwahati Revenue Circle.
The programme had two types of exercises — Table Top and Practical Mock Drill. Resource Persons from NDRF, SDRF, Civil Defence, Fire and Emergency Services conducted exercises on earthquakes, fire incidents, search and rescue operations, First Aids etc.
On 4th February Sri Pankaj Bhagat Sandhal and Sri Lalringsan Hrangchal from NDRF conducted disaster management lessons and a practical Mock Drill was organised on earthquake and fire incidents by Civil Defence and Fire & Emergency Services departments.
The closing remark was delivered by Dr. Shantanu Roy Chowdhury, Associate Professor and the Deputy Chief Warden, Civil Defence, Kamrup (Metro).
