Haflong, November 14: A press conference was held today at the Officers’ Conference Hall of the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) in anticipation of the Jan Jatiya Gaurav Diwas celebration scheduled for November 15, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at the Council Complex, Haflong.
Shri Donpainon Thaosen, Executive Member of NCHAC (in-charge of Education), addressed the media, outlining the preparations and arrangements underway for the event. He shared that the celebration will include a rich array of cultural programs along with exhibitions showcasing indigenous artifacts and heritage.
Emphasizing the importance of community involvement, he urged all citizens to actively participate and contribute to making the event a grand success. The celebration will also see participation from all departments under the Council.
Donpainon Thaosen was joined by Smt. Rebecca Changsan, ACS, Joint Secretary, and Shri Abul Khair Ilias Noshim Ahmed, ACS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, who were present during the media briefing.
