RRIH Guwahati Organises Walkathon under Fit India Swachhata Freedom Run 6.0
Guwahati, 28 October: As part of the nationwide Fit India Swachhata Freedom Run 6.0 campaign, the Regional Research Institute for Homoeopathy (RRIH), Guwahati—under the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India—organized a walkathon at two iconic locations of the city, Gandhi Mandap and Basistha Temple.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from RRIH staff members, students, and local fitness enthusiasts, all walking together to promote the message of fitness, cleanliness, and a healthy lifestyle. The presence of Mr. Pallab Thakur, a renowned sportsperson and former arm wrestling champion, as the special guest, added immense inspiration to the participants. His encouraging words motivated everyone to adopt fitness and discipline as integral parts of daily life.
The walkathon highlighted the importance of the Fit India Movement in fostering both physical well-being and civic responsibility. Through this initiative, RRIH Guwahati reaffirmed its commitment to promoting holistic health and contributing towards a cleaner, fitter, and more conscious society.
